The updated 4.0-liter biturbo still delivers 603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque, with an integrated starter generator adding 23 horsepower and 151 lb-ft more. That is enough to launch the SUV from zero to 60 mph in an estimated 3.6 seconds on the way to a 174-mph top speed. 

A newly developed AMG® Performance exhaust system gives that V8 its voice, adjustable from a composed murmur in Comfort mode to a sharper, more dramatic note in Sport+. Underneath, standard AMG® Performance 4MATIC+® all-wheel drive and a locking rear differential send power to whichever wheel has the grip to use it, while AMG® ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL® reads the road to limit body roll. Drivers can shift between Comfort, Sport+, and a Trail mode built for rougher terrain, all through AMG® DYNAMIC SELECT®.
